Report
ATV Rentals.
Our
ATV Rentals are back, so if you want to give ATVing a try,
with over 200 miles of trails, call us at 231 745 4101
8 am until 10 pm.
Hi All, well the rain is gone and the weather is beautiful once
again. The groomer did go out on 7-26-10 and started grooming, but
part way through the groomer sled broke. So some repairs will be
done this week on the sled and they are scheduled to be back
grooming this week if everything goes well. There are just tons for
baby turkeys, deer and raccoons running around. Remember that
we are riding in their backyards, so please be careful for the
little buggers.
Here is a link to a video by Dirt Bike Michigan on the Little O
trail. This is also an ATV trail.
Little O trail ride. Here is a YouTube video that Dave from Fishweb, did on the Little
Manistee trail, while he was here at the Resort this last summer with one
of our rental Can Am ATV's.
Little Manistee trail ride.
Very Cool
and this is just one of the trails.
In the summer months right beside the trails there
are ditches cut into the banks, so the water will run off of the
trails. STAY OUT, THEY ARE VERY DEEP. Some of these ditches are over
8 feet deep and if you drive into one, you will most likely suck
muddy water into engine and it will be ruined and if it's one of our
rentals, you will be owning a rental with a bad motor.
ATV & Snowmobile Rentals LLC
rents
onsite, Can Am, Honda and Yamaha ATV's
too, so give us a call and go riding on GROOMED
ATV trails. You will have a ball, these are the only trails in the
state that I know of, that are groomed (during the summer months) for ATV's and you can have several
days of riding with out seeing the same tree time after time. Not
like the Silver Lake Sand Dunes, four hills and you seen it all. And
the ATV rentals at the Dunes is $110 for 3 hours, ours is $140 for
all day, you decide which one is a better deal. We both rent the
exact same ATV's, except we have more choices. Now there are some ungroomed trails here also, so if you do want the bumps,
jumps and tight twisty trails,
you can have them too, you decide.
We
have great trails for the ATV’s & Dirt Bikes to ride and they are
the Little O Trail (46 miles of 50" trails), Tin Cup Springs Trail
(21 miles of motorcycle trails and 21 miles of 72" routes) are a hoot to
ride. The Little Manistee Trail (46 miles of Motorcycle trails and 46 miles
of 72" trails) and the Lincoln Hills Trail (21 miles of 50" trails
and 21 miles of 72" routes). In all there is 222 miles of ATV, ORV trails
and routes plus the single tracks for
the Dirt Bikes, which I believe is around 88 miles. That’s 310 miles
of dirty fun. And they even groom the Little Manistee and Lincoln
Hill 72" trails every other week in the summer months.
If
you want to come to this area just give us a call toll free at 877
745 4101 8am until 10pm or from a cell phone 231-745 4101 8am until
10pm and if we don't have a room, we will try our best to find you a
room, so call soon to get your room reserved or they will be all
gone.

the left side is for on coming traffic. Ride hard but be safe,
please don't take chances on the trails. There is other people
besides you out there. With around 310 miles of marked ATV -
ORV - UTV and Dirt Bike trails, 3 trail heads within 4 miles, and one of the largest motor
sport dealers 2 miles away, this is the place to stay in Michigan.
We have ATV & Snowmobile maps available at the office and will give you first

All of our
rental Snowmobiles here at ATV & Snowmobile Rentals will be ready to go
December 1st, so if you want to give snowmobiling a try, give us a call
at 231 745 4101.
Make sure you STOP when they see the groomers so they
can move by. It's really dangerous to have riders keep moving when
the groomers pass. Make sure you wave and show your support. Also,
please stay off the ribbon so it will set up, and the trails will
stay smoother longer, that's what we all like, right?
We are snowmobilers too, and know if there isn't enough
snow to ride, I don't want to ride in the dirt either, so if you
reserve a room and there isn't enough snow to ride, just give us a
call and cancel your room with no penalties, but if there is enough
snow I expect you to come.
Here is a list of the snowmobile trails in this area, are you ready?
The Baldwin trails, (146 miles) go west to Reed City and south from
here to Newaygo, Irons trails wrap around Wolf Lake and then heads
north, east and west for 122 miles and connects to Cadillac and
Wellston trails and Benzie/ Manistee trails, Cadillac trails connect
into the Irons, Wellston and Pere Marquette trails. The Cadillac
trails run from Cadillac, then south to Leroy, and west to Irons and
Wellston, they groom 124 miles, Wellston trails goes east to connect
to Cadillac trails and south to the Irons Trails and west to
Freesoil for 68 miles and north to the, Benzie/Manistee trail
system. The Pere Marquette trail connects to the Baldwin trail and
all the way to Evart and up to Leroy for 144 miles, the south Pere
Marquette trail goes to Grand Rapids, I think about 140 miles. The
Benzie/Manistee trail goes all the way north to the Maple City
another 147 miles and connects to the Wellston trails to the south.
Let's total this up, 146 + 122 + 124 + 68 + 144 + 140 + 147 = 891 in
groomed connecting trails just in this area alone and we are right
in the middle of them. I don't know about you but that's a ton of
riding. Now there is more trails to get to, but that would be just
over kill and this is not even counting all of the two tracks and
seasonal roads that you can ride.
Why spent an extra $200 to $300 in fuel to get to
Gaylord or the UP when we have fantastic riding right here.
WEEK
DAY RIDING IS THE BEST. Come here and get a nice clean warm room and
use that $200 to $300 for snowmobile fuel, that’s a ton of riding.
We have on site Snowmobile Rentals, here at ATV &
Snowmobile Rentals
LLC,
so if you don't have a sled, just let me know and I can get it set
up for you. Maybe you just want to try snowmobiling or maybe your
sled is broken, we can help. But remember weekday riding is always
the best, less traffic, the gas stations are less busy and it's just
a lot safer.

Fishing Report
Hi All, we have been having one front after
another running through here, so if you time your fishing trip right and
catch either a rising pressure or a lowering pressure, you should do
very well. The Pine River is giving up some nice browns this last week.
Adam landed several fish over 19 inches and lost a couple over two feet,
but again this is a fish story, so believe it or not. I know that
sometimes the fish look a lot bigger while in the water, than they
actuality are.
Bass fishing is still pretty fair on Wolf Lake, with the biggest last
week was 22" small mouth. Big Bass lake has been giving up some perch,
but are running on the smaller side, around 8" to 10". Tight lines. Tim

or Attractions page for a list of our
Fishing Guides.
Lake County has 156 lakes 46 streams and 4 major rivers, so if you
can't catch fish here, you better put the beer bottle down.
We get people from all over the world to fish these
rivers for fall
Salmon
and spring Steelhead.
This is WORLD CLASS FISHING.
Come up and give it a try. Take a kid fishing, so that the sports
people of the
